Turks and Caicos Islands
Turks and Caicos Islands are the British islands in the West Indies.Located on the southeast tip of the Bahamas, it is about 145 km north of Haiti. The east is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean, and the west is facing Cuba across the water.It consists of more than 30 small islands in Turks and Caicos Islands, of which eight have permanent residents and a population of only 35,000. Turks and Caicos Island is a subtropical climate with an average annual temperature of 27°C ,and the climate is warm and pleasant.English is the official language and Lingua franca and currency is US dollar. And Cockburn Town is the capital city.
Turks and Caicos Islands is one of the 14 overseas territories of the United Kingdom. Citizens on the island are free to enter and leave the UK to work and study with their passports. With its beautiful landscape, Turks and Caicos Islands is known as “the backyard of the United States”, and receives a large number of tourists from the United States, Canada and Europe every year. It is one the top 10 offshore financial centers in the world, and the ideal international tax avoidance place. There are more than 20,000 companies registered here.
The latest amendments to the Gazetted Immigration Regulations for Turks and Caicos Islands(TCI)investment Migration Programme were made on March 29,2016. Section 13(2)(f)(i)states in Grand Turk, Middle Caicos, Salt Cay, South Caicos or North Caicos have the right to apply for a TCI permanent residence permit(PRC). Investors who have more than 12 months of PRC rights are entitled to apply for naturalization and apply for BOTC(British Oversea Territories Citizen )passport.
